CH 131 - Introductory Chemistry3 Credit Hours Prerequisite: For all but Nursing majors: MAT 131 or approval of instructor. This is an introduction to the elementary principles of modern chemistry including scientific measurements, stoichiometry, atomic structure, equations, gas laws, solutions, and the more important elements and their compounds. This is a three credit non-laboratory course designed (1) for the non-science major and (2) as a preparatory course for majors in science and mathematics who have not had a rigorous high school chemistry course.
