AI 452 - Prompt Engineering and AI Agents

3 Credit Hours


This course introduces prompt engineering as a method for controlling and optimizing the behavior of large language models. Students learn strategies for in-context learning, chain-of-thought prompting, and retrieval-augmented generation. The course also covers AI agent architectures that integrate planning, reasoning, and external tools.
Prerequisite: A “C” or better in:

AI 451 - Generative AI (GANs, VAEs, Diffusion Models)
