CMIN 531 - History of Christianity I

Credits: 3 Credit Hours

A survey history of Christianity that focuses on the early Church through the fifteenth century. The course will give particular attention to the Christological controversies of the early church as well as to selected Latin and Greek fathers, and to the Church councils that determined theological doctrines. This is a seminar course; students will read primary sources in translation and write essays on historical topics.
