MU 326 - History of Contemporary Music

Prerequisite: MU 251  Musicianship Skills I Study of the origins, characteristics and stylistic development of various popular music styles from the early 1950s through the early 21st century. The course explores the origins of and the future of contemporary music including but not limited to Pop, Hip Hop, Rap, Rock, Country, R&B, Soul, Gospel, Folk.
