EN 131 - College English I3 Credit Hours Prerequisite: EN 095 /125 or an acceptable score on the B-CU placement test, SAT, or ACT. This is the first of two sequential courses in freshman writing covering various rhetorical strategies. This course emphasizes developing skills for navigating the stages of writing, including pre-writing, organizing, drafting, revising and editing. Students are required to write a minimum of 6,000 words through informal writing activities, formal essays, and a documented paper. Students should be prepared to write extensively in this course and have their work reviewed through instructor conferences. (FA, SP, SU)
