ES 244 - Environmental and Ecological Economics

Prerequisite: ES 241 & ESL 241, or instructor permission. An introduction to the economic treatment of two major categories of environmental problems, natural resource depletion and pollution, from the perspectives of traditional environmental economics and the emerging alternative of ecological economics; both of which have the objective of achieving sustainable economic growth and development (i.e. “sustainable development”).
