 Program DescriptionThe Bachelor of Science in Biology Education is designed for students who plan to teach Biology in grades 6-12. The Bachelor of Arts in English Education is designed for students who plan to teach English in grades 6-12.  The Bachelor of Science in Physical Education is designed for students who plan to teach physical education in grades K-12.  The Bachelor of Arts in Music Education is designed for students who plan to teach Music in grades K-12. 	Students who desire to earn a degree in education and who seek to receive a teaching certificate in Biology Education offered at Bethune-Cookman University will demonstrate mastery of the Florida Education Accomplished Practices as measured by a passing score on the Professional Florida Teacher Certification Exam. Students who desire to earn a degree in education and who seek to receive a teaching certificate in Biology Education offered at Bethune-Cookman University will demonstrate mastery of Biology subject area competencies as measured by a passing score on the Biology Education Subject Area Florida Teacher Certification Exam. Students who desire to earn a degree in education and who seek to receive a teaching certificate in Biology Education offered at Bethune-Cookman University will demonstrate mastery of the Teacher Dispositions as measured by a comprehensive score of basic from the senior internship Teacher Candidate Dispositions Ratings Form triangulated by the University Supervisor, Cooperating Teacher, and Self-evaluation. 	Students who desire to earn a degree in education and who seek to receive a teaching certificate offered at Bethune-Cookman University will demonstrate mastery of the Florida Educator Accomplished Practices in simulated teaching environments in early field experiences and student teaching internship experiences by obtaining a minimum score of 80% on the rubric evaluation of the professional portfolio and a passing score on the appropriate Florida Teacher Certification Examination tests.Students who desire to earn a degree in education and who seek to receive a teaching certificate in Elementary Education offered at Bethune-Cookman University will demonstrate mastery of the mathematics competencies that are appropriate for the certification.
