PUBH 610 - Health Advocacy

Provides students with an opportunity to broaden their understanding of health promotion and health education; the models/theories, concepts and applications involved. Students will broaden their understanding of how the different social, cultural, psychological factors affect health behavior and health outcomes at the individual, family and community levels of society. This course will include an overview of steps involved in the assessment of needs of an individual or community, identification of stakeholders and the implementation and evaluation of public health programs, interventions and policies.
