CIS 210 - Introduction to Programming 3 Credit Hours Students will learn the fundamental concepts and terminology of software application development and develop skills in designing and writing simple computer programs in a high-level language. The course assumes no programming background and provides an overview of the software development process in addition to introducing important programming constructs and methodologies. Topics include programming language characteristics, integrated development environments, flowcharts, algorithms and pseudo-code, variables, operators, conditional statements, looping statements, methods, error-handling and debugging, and object-oriented programming techniques. Prerequisite: MAT 134 .
