BI 340 - Molecular Biology 4 Credit Hours This course explores the structure and function of proteins and nucleic acids; mechanisms of catalysis; regulation of gene expression at the level of DNA, RNA and protein synthesis in both prokaryotic and eukaryotic organisms; and current topics in molecular biology. Prerequisite: BI 142 and CH 241 - Organic Chemistry I and Lab or approval of the instructor.
Lecture Hours: Lecture 3 hours per week. Lab Hours: Lab 3 hours per week.
