MU 438 - Advanced Conducting Techniques2 Credit Hours Prerequisite: MU 238 , MU 252 . A study of advanced conducting techniques focusing on instrumental ensembles, choral ensembles and their respective repertoires. Topics will include baton and hand techniques, score readings with analysis and preparation, transpositions, rehearsal techniques and program preparation. Students will be involved with the preparation of repertoire and proper interpretation of music of all periods. Students will have an opportunity to conduct a large ensemble by end of Credit. (SP)
