Prerequisite: BI 141 or CH 141 (or permission of the instructor). An introduction to various principles of research including use of scientific literature, statistical methods, legal aspects of research, sampling, scientific record keeping, principles of instrumentation, mathematical modeling, research report preparation, and laboratory safety.
