BI 330 - Bioinformatics

3 Credit Hours
Prerequisite: s BI 141  and BI 142  , MAT 135 , CS 132  or 133 or demonstration of equivalent computer literacy. The student must know how to use computers running either Windows or UNIX, and how to access and use the Internet for searching and research. Acceptable computer competency is subject to instructor approval. This junior level course is designed to teach the principles of data types, data storage, data mining and their applications to computational biology and the flow of bio-information as envisioned in the Central Dogma of molecular biology.
