RE 261 - Honors Critical Reading3 Credit Hours Prerequisite: Admission into the B-CU Honors Program. This course is designed to further solidify the critical reading and comprehension skills of the Honors student, using both the textbook and selected great works of literature. Meaningful inquiry and literary analysis will lead to essays that are descriptive, philosophical and evaluative in nature. Projects, both written and oral, are at the heart of this course; the capstone project is a student symposium. Students of Honors Critical Reading will become effective college level readers, speakers and writers and will acquire advance the rhetorical, analytical, and interpretive skills necessary to navigate both the General Education program and individual programs of study.
